ECME Cardiac Rehabilitation Exercise Trial
Heart disease is the most common cause of death globally. Exercise-based cardiac rehabilitation often recommended following a cardiac incident, aims to improve the health outcomes of people with heart disease. However, the uptake of such programmes is low. Home-based and online programmes have been suggested to help overcome some of the obstacles that can present with traditional programmes. This report presents findings from a pilot trial conducted to compare online and traditional in-person exercise-based cardiac rehabilitation.
