Building Digital Bridges
Originally part of the Irish Research Council funded CARAH project, the Building Digital Bridges (BDB) project began as a workshop series conducted with a range of community stakeholders seeking to ensure older people in the community could access and use digital technologies to remain socially connected during the Covid-19 pandemic. The processes developed, as part of the initial BDB project, continue to inform emerging living lab digital connection projects with community actors monitor how new and creative approaches can be embedded to improve how community organisations listen to and involve clients and volunteers in continuous reflexive service delivery that is becoming more digitalised. Building Digital Bridges continues as an overarching thematic living lab project encompassing short applied initiatives aimed at bridging the digital divide.
